せつないDark-Hunter　　（2006-12-09）
初めて読むDark-Hunterシリーズ。今回のヒーロー、ギリシャ人のKyrian。ずいぶん皮肉っぽいヒーローだなーと思ってましたが、彼の過去を読んで泣きそうになりました。愛する女性に手酷く裏切られて人間不信に陥り、過去に捕われがんじがらめになっていた彼が、Amandaのような優しいヒロインに巡り会い、彼女の助けてを得て過去を乗り越え癒されていく過程がよかったです。
単なるホラーやロマンス要素ばかりが強いのではなく、弱さや傷つき易い面を持ったヒーローが、不老不死なのにとても人間臭くて親しみを感じました。人間ドラマ的な部分もあって、このシリーズはまりそうです。

ダーク・ハンター・シリーズ２　　（2005-08-27）
　ダーク・ハンターと呼ばれる、ギリシャ神話をベースにしたヴァンパイア・スレーヤー達のラブ・ストーリーの（たぶん）２作目。今回のヒーローは元ギリシャ人のキリアン。シニカルなユーモアのセンスが秀逸です。個人的には、ヴァンパイア・レスタトの次に魅力的なキャラクターだと思います。ハリウッドで映画化してくれないかなあ。ロマンスもアクションも満載。

Good introduction to the series　　（2004-03-23）
The main character of the story, Kyrian is a dark hunter, whose job is to hunt and kill daimons (=vampires). Kyrian seems arrogant, dominant and difficult at first, but it becomes apparent later that he has become rather cynical because the one person he loved and devoted his life to betrayed him. Even though being a dark hunter means being lonely and often bored (most daimons run away from a dark hunter when they see him, the exception being Desiderus, the main villain of this story), he struggles with the idea that no one can love him and that he does not deserve Amanda.
There is good chemistry between Kyrian and Amanda, and I liked that Amanda cares about Kyrian as much as he cares about her. Kyrian is not the smartest male character romance literature has ever seen (Desiderus tricks him quite easily), but he is honorable, generous, and loyal - characteristics that make him extremely lovable.
As the first of the dark hunter series (followed by Night Embrace, Dance with the Devil, Kiss of the Night), quite a few pages are devoted to the background information. If you have gone to the author’s homepage, where she actually has the whole background set up, you may be able to skip this part.
Overall, this is a good read, especially if you like paranormal and hot Greek men!
