"The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic" の続編（シリーズ第2作目）。

1作目同様、読んでてBeckyにイライラさせられる部分もあり、それ以上にハラハラさせられる部分もあり（途中、読んでてあまりに怖くて一旦本を置いてしまった箇所がいくつか）、それでも何だかどーしてもBeckyって憎めないキャラクターなのです。

いやー相変わらずバカです。バカっぷりも前作を上回ってて、前半は読んでて恐怖を覚えるくらいです（あとの展開が怖くて怖くて…）。まーここまで行くと病気ですかね…。お買い物ハイになってるBeckyの気持ちは、よーくわかるんだけどね。

浪費癖のある人には、素晴らしい反面教師本です。

今回のBeckyは、かなり手痛い失敗をやらかし、ちょっと成長します。まぁ、それでもこの後まだシリーズが続くわけだから、根本的にはあまり変わらないのかもしれないけれど…。

最後にBeckyが選択した道は、1作目を読んだときから「こうすればいいのに…」と読み手の多くがきっと思っていただろう道でした。ちょっとJennifer Weinerの"In Her Shoes"みたいな終わり方でしたが、Beckyにはぴったりの選択だと思ったので、読んでる側としても納得。

いちいちBeckyにイライラしつつも、次作も読んじゃうんだろうなぁ。やっぱり。

１よりも現実的で楽しめます　　（2008-01-15）
１はシンデレラストーリで終わっていましたが、２は現実的になっています。
相変わらず後先考えずの言動ばかりでハラハラしますが、２ではレベッカも少しマシな大人になったかも？
３を読みたくなります。
ただ一部カットされているのが残念。（編集上の都合って何？？）

Even Funnier Than the Original　　（2007-12-01）
Don't worry that this sequel might be a letdown from "Confessions of a Shopaholic". I thought it was even better. Becky Bloomwood is back, this time with her television career going well, her love life in great shape ... but, with those old spending habits as strong as ever. Accompanying her boyfriend to the States, she hits New York City like a whirlwind and injects more than a little money into the NY economy. The plot of this book is, I think, quite a bit stronger than the first book with a little intrigue lurking in the background. If you've ever enjoyed a good shopping spree in New York (or have ever dreamed of having one), you will love her exploits. I read this book in a 24 hour period.

I would also recommend Tino georgiou's best-selling novel--The Fates. I laughed and laughed and just couldn't get enough of it.

やっぱり治っていませんね　　（2006-03-04）
舞台はニューヨークへ移っていますが、やっぱり依存症は治っていなかった！今回は収入が増えている分、使う金額がパワーアップされていますね。
今回の買い物は高額なものばかりだったので、前作のように「そーよ。そーよ。それ必要！」と自分も買い物に出かけたかのように興奮することなく、冷静に読めましたが、前作同様、今回もユニークな登場人物が多く飽きさせないストーリーです。次回作も気になります。

Great Sequel　　（2005-09-01）
This 2nd book is better than the first in my opinion. As life is going just fine in london for becky (no more dangerous overdraft), she receive a proposal from Luke to live with him across the atlantic. Of course she accepts with gee & found herself in a shopping wonderland. However, silly her got herself into big big trouble without even realising it. I almost cried out for her sorry plight. Overnight she is almost reduced to nothing. But in times of trouble, there are still people who would help her to go through it all, her bestfriend Suze and her family who always support her. A laugh-aloud, sweet novel that would no doubt capture the heart of all shopaholics.
